Wanted one for over a decade, finally splurging ... an ELECTRO GROOM! Ordered through Dover (best price I could find when calculating price plus shipping), was delivered in a couple of days, it's in the tack room waiting to be opened tomorrow!
P.S. I would LOVE an auto generator system. Maybe on the 5 year plan? !

A cat. I have fostered an absolutely adorable orange tabby for months, and for some inexplicable reason, he hasn't been adopted. Well, he got a permanent home for Christmas and I got a BFF.

I ordered some new Kieffer bridle parts for my semi-rescue horse early last week from Dressage Extensions. Did not expect to see them till after Christmas, but the UPS man just left a bit ago and Skip has a new bridle! He's been with me for six years and has been my economy-everything, recycle, beg-steal-borrow fellow. But he's recently started doing some really nice work, way beyond what I ever expected of him, so I thought--he deserved it!

I treated myself to a new Smith-Worthington saddle for the mare, steal of a deal on a closeout. It's not here yet-saddle fitting was part of the deal so I had to take measurements and photos and send along- but expecting it this week.

Permission to explore the possibility of retiring my mare if she's not more sound than not by spring. The gift of sanity.

I've found that I don't tolerate people idiosyncrasies as well. - Casey09

IF - your Blitzen pendant is beautiful!
And her prices are very reasonable.
I may have to gift myself with the horses I've lost - already have in mind a couple of the pics I'd use......
My To Me From Me this year will wait until Spring.

A second Mattes pad for the sensitive chestnut mare (first one was black but I got to pick the colours on this one, navy blue with silver trim and natural sheepskin), winter riding jacket (I splurged and got a Pikeur, it's my first Pikeur purchase), a cozy Irideon riding top and warm riding mittens.
And two Christmas vacation clinics. First one was a blast and can't wait for the second one.

I decided that Skipper had earned the right to his own decently-fitting blanket. He hasn't destroyed the practice blanket (an awful shade of kelly green but apparently indestructible as we have put it on an assortment of horses to date, almost hoping it would get destroyed). A new toilet. The old one is a bit rocky and cracked at the base due to a less-than-stellar installation job on uneven tile, my brothers FIL (with whom he has a tenuous relationship at best) is coming over with them for dinner tonight and he's not too steady on his feet). I also bought some earrings for myself while shopping for my mom at Brighton yesterday.

I hope he doesn't have one and that no one claims him. What a lovely Christmas gift that Santa left a little early.

Hubby and I exchanged just a card this year and I sent his unit cookies. Other than that, we're taking the season off and paying off some bills (:
