Another vote for PRI! I was just gifted one of the 'fancier' smartpak pads for Christmas with the braiding/piping and it is BEAUTIFUL. Seems like it will hold up well, but I haven't used it yet so we'll see!

Even though I have big, (some may call them fat...) wide warmbloods I love using the rider's international pony sized schooling pads under my wither pads. They're a great size, and fit exactly like the baby pads but they're a little bit thicker so they withstand tons of abuse, and you don't have to fold them like you may have to with some types of baby pads. Best of all, they're super cheap, around $10. I think I still have some from my junior days, 8 years ago so they definitely hold up.
They have the trim and piping of a much more expensive pad, and the underside is brown, which goes a long way towards making them appear to stay clean longer! Plus they come in "my" colors, which is always a bonus.
I like the cheap Dover pads well enough for everyday use, but they do tend to shrink when washed in hot water.
I also have an almost 20-year-old Toklat that was my very first saddle pad ever, and is still beautiful, and in fantastic shape. Can't beat that for durability and longevity!
