Default Why not? Another OTTB Critique!

What do you guys think of this girl? She needs some groceries, but I could see her filling out nicely.

I love horses like this. Rangy, stands over some ground, nice big shoulder (Alydar bred horses often seem to have that shoulder), bright eyed and intelligent looking. The pic isn't great for really evaluating her angles, but she's certainly worth a look-see in person!

I don't like the picture either. It's seems to be unflattering towards her, but she's my type, too, Simkie!

I keep looking and looking and debating about calling.... I'm looking for a resale, but I'm afraid I might end up liking her more than my gelding....

I like everything I see but wish there were some better pics. I'd definitely look at her!

E-mail the Canter contact - she often has extra photos not selected for the website.

Sooo.... if anyone wants to go get her and drop her off at my place, I wouldn't be angry.

Most of the horses I have seen are worlds better in person than the pictures. The volunteers have such little time to get the pictures and the workers are not familiar with setting them up for conformation shots. So if you like her, go see her, she is probably even better in person.

Hey guys... in case anyone is wondering about her, a good friend of mine vetted and purchased this mare this morning! She flew through the vetting We're going to go get her next week, I'm very excited to see what she turns into, I think she'll be a stunning eventer! The trainer (Jake Radosevich) and his wife have been very nice to work with, and we've also heard many good things about them and their horses from several people, in case anyone is considering any of his others listed on Canter... we'll be there in person next week, so if anyone is in the market and wants me to take a look at one in particular, let me know!

So glad she vetted out well- I am always worried about the ones that go from placing well to trailing the field.

The Schickedanz family also consistently breeds fairly nice horses. I've known several and they're generally lovely. They know sport horses as well as race horses.
