I'm pretty happy with my current mares, but someday I would like to have a driving pony. While I really loved driving my big draft gelding, hitching him up would about give me a hernia, everything was so heavy. So I would like something as reliable and steady as he was in harness, but much smaller. A back at about chest height would be perfect, so I don't have to lift anything very high, or bend over very far.
"In order to really enjoy a dog, one doesn’t merely train him to be semi-human. The point of it is to open oneself to the possibility of becoming part dog."
My dream horse would be a hunter/jumper dressage horse that never goes lame is ridable when it is kept in due to weather. It would never roll and would obey me at the thought of doing anything. It would always get the correct stride and love me no matter how badly I ride. It would also live forever.....my dream horse.
*A chestnut thoroughbred racehorse with lots of chrome
*A palomino pinto "hony" with a fluffy mane and tail, or a black and white pinto.
* A steel gray or dapple dun Connemara jumper
* A fat dapple gray old-school Shetland pony named Merrylegs
I wanted a horse that looked like Sagr in the Balck Stallion Returns movie. When I was a pre-teen looking for a horse that was my ideal. I ended up with a bay pony instead (he was wonderful!) As an adult it occured to me that my current horse and my 2nd heart heart looks like the paint verison of him. Grover is a sorrel with a flaxen mane and tail and big white blaze.
