Nameplate belt recommendations
Can anyone point me in the direction of some makers of good quality nameplate belts? I lost a very special horse today and would love to get a nice belt in his memory. I've found a couple of places so far but some personal experiences would be great.

i bought my daughter one from Smartpak.. i think it was the Tory brand. It was nice enough, and reasonably priced.
So sorry about your loss.

SIKE, FOUND A PICTURE OF IT!
So, after submitting that last reply my curiousity got to me and I googled "custom needlepoint belts" and the lady who made my friends belt actually has a picture of it on her website. I wasn't particularly impressed with some of her other belts but my friends is stunning in person. If you go to the link below and scroll until you see a chesnut horse head, thats the one!

I got mine from smartpak and its nice. I did wish you could get more than 3 nameplates on them and they came in a wider belt.

I am so sorry for your loss. Tory's name plate belt is nice leather, and anything from Quillen would be good quality, I love their halters.
Have you considered jewelry from your horse's tail hairs? Twisted Tails does wonderful bracelets, several of my friends have them and they are really nice, and surprisingly durable. Check them out at www.TwistedTails.com

Ditto Fennell's. I think all the ASB peeps get their nameplate belts from there. DH's is still gorgeous, and I got it for him for Christmas at least 10 years ago.

I have a friend that has the Dover belt and she adores it. We were both surprised by how nice the leather was and it oiled up quite nicely...
I am so sorry for your loss.
