They bevel the leather so it's round. My girls really like them!!

I have a Nathe D-ring, 5.5". I think it may be a tad chewed. You can borrow it for a testdrive if you like, OP. PM me and I'll send it out.

It is hard plastic, just like the Happy Mouth. I have that one, as well as a single jointed, and a double jointed. Got them 50% off, couldn't resist!

Nathe bits are a softer plastic than HappyMouth bits. They taper at the center to accommodate the tongue, but end up being fatter at the lip section. Fussy horses might feel the difference.

You'll have to give them a call. Ask to talk to the "leather guys in the back" and tell them you want a leather snaffle. They should be able to help you out.

Nathe is now Beris (German based). No more Nathe.
Sounds like the Beris isn't quite ready yet but they will be in at some point this year.
For now I just ordered a Nathe loose ring from VTO.
Will get on board with a Beris D or Fullcheek when they are in stock her in the USA.
They do have some in stock now but not what I need.
here is the link to the CO company that carries Beris.
