My parents' older kitty has been diagnosed with lung cancer. I have never heard of an animal getting lung cancer before! Has anyone heard of this? They are very sad.
I realize that I'm generalizing here, but as is often the case when I generalize, I don't care. ~ Dave Barry
I don't think it starts there very often but spreading to the lungs is very common in animals. So sorry.

We had an 11 year old JRT that had lung cancer w/lung cancer the only location. If you google it you will find that lung cancer is normally only found in larger dogs but I'm not sure about cats. We of course had a small dog in a non-smoking house.
We still miss Pepper.

Unfortunatley yes, there are lots of different types of cancers that can start in the lungs. Some are chemo responsive while others are not. Jingles for your kitty.
