I really enjoyed her segment. Ive never seen her before but she was just lovely. She was very calm and gentle about everything which made her very easy to relate to with how I ride and made it really easy for me to see how I can take her lessons and apply them.
edit: and I loooooved that mare's coloring!

Did he say that to a horse or a rider?

Ditto, I loved how she talked about having NO emotion—whether you're asking with 2 lbs. of pressure or 10 lbs. of pressure, there's never any emotion. Something to remember for those days when you just feel frazzled.

It's well worth a few minutes to read this interview with GM about his life and background, in and out of the horse world. It includes some great pictures. We're all just lucky his acting career didn't take off!

I absolutely loved watching her ride and talk to the participants. Her ability to communicate with the horse clearly translates into communicating with people. I would LOVE to do a clinic with her. Or just learn anything from her.

It's back live! He just reprimanded his jump crew for not noticing a cavelleti moved 1/2 inch when a horse hit it.

To Jacob... "I'm not interested that you won the Maclay..."
I loved "You always have more time than the horse. Wait for the horse."

It is weird that I think GM would do great narrating books on tape/CD and that if he did, I would buy and listen to it just because he was the narrator? lol
I am drafting an agenda at my desk but listening to the live stream in the background and he's making me work better.

When they broke this morning for like 20minutes, my 3 year old (human), who had been sitting and watching with me, pouted and said "I wanna watch the horsies!"
edit: every time he just said "soft" she'd pet his horse and say "soofffft!" At least she's paying attention.
