Thank you. I having a coming 3 yo by Rock Point and she is just the sweetest, quietest horse. I'm still waiting for her to get taller though. I met her dam and she was 16.2 and I think Rock Point was pretty big.

He was 16.3, IIRC? I always wanted a Rock Point. Shame that he's gone and didn't leave any stallion sons (that I know about, at least!)

I met him in person years ago when he stood in Middleburg. Lovely stallion!

My <3 horse is by Rock Point.
    He was a bugger to break (he's 2nd generation homebred) but a <3 since age 2.9 (he's now 10, 11 next week!)
I have his little half sister, out of the same (Chenin Blanc) tb mare, by a RID stallion.
I''ll be interested if its as 'they' assured me, that the toughness in my older horse came from Rock Point, or if, in fact, it came thru the mare from Chenin Blanc.
Rock Point was very handsome and big and stout. He had some good (champion level) 'chase horses plus some good show horses.

Wow, blast from the past. He hit the board in the Sunday Silence/Easy Goer epic stretch-duel of the Preakness in '89.
