    Default Clipping with a #7 blade

    Haven't gotten around to clipping yet this year and at this point am waiting until after Xmas. Plan on doing a trace clip. I was thinking I might want to leave the hair a little longer. #10 leaves the hair 1/16 vs. #7 leaves 3/16. He is not in superheavy work but he has quite a long, thick coat (for a tb especially!). I figure if it looks bad I can always redo it with t-84s. Anybody tried this? Is there a reason this is a bad idea?

    I do all my body clips with a number 7 it looks much better in my opinion than a 10 blad3e. The horses don't get sweaty but it looks more natural. HIghly recommend

    I think the only downside would be needing to clip again sooner. Aside from that, I don't see a problem.
