 He's here!!!!!
Ahhh!! So a while back I posted about getting a horse from argentina, remember? Well I came home mid november and he still hadn't left. Waiting for planes blah blah blah.
Well today, at 8pm, he arrived at Rocky Start Stables (where I am currently working), after leaving argentina last saturday, spending a week in quarantine, and then the long haul up from miami (with an overnight in Ocala last night).
Bad picture of him on the trailer waiting to come off. He looked bone tired, poor guy.

His halter (yes it really is tied on, the buckle was weird and we always made do down in argentina. It was the one that was grabbed when he left and Katie was kind enough to tie it on, no one bothered to take it off)

Yeah, so I was working at a jumper sales barn down in Argentina. Through a weird agreement with my mother, we purchased him. He was one of the horses I was schooling, a 5yr old warmblood gelding (well just turned five) 15.3hh, jumper. He had just started showing in mid June and was eating it up. I fell in love with him for his big personality and nice gaits. He is hopefully going to be my next eventer.
His name is Classic Skyline (dur, I should have said that :P)

He goes by Skyline although he is also affectionately called The Brown Cow (he makes some funny faces that led to that one).
Just looked back and realized there wasn't a true introduction thread. My bad! This is all there was :O

Oh dear. He looks miserable. He MUST be shipped to Vermont right away.

what a lovely lovely boy! you must be thrilled! be sure to give your mom a 1000 hugs and be extra kind to her for helping you to get such a nice horse. ....

@Superminion I don't really write in the blog any more, I am horrible like that, I just can't keep up with it.
AND!!! I took him out this morning for a walk up the road since the ring was soaked from all the rain. He was very very excited but quite bold and forward about it. Once we started walking up the hill he quieted down and had to think about his feet since he had never so much as seen a hill, let alone had to walk up a mountain. The worst he did was hump his back and shake his head and jig a lot. So proud of him!!

rofl he is quite cold, yes, but he has lots of blankets :P And it is almost time for me to be mean and remove what little hair he has.
