There is a fab PB&J place near NYU. Not grilled cheese, but more delicious sandwiches.

Are people really so lazy ( or have so much money to waste) they go out to restaurants to eat grill cheese or PP&J? Personal I love PB but HATE jelly. I also dislike Chinese food - hence one of the red thumbs.

    Thumbs up

We inherited a panini maker from our neighbors, and the first thing I made was a grilled PB & J. It was yummy! I would give it a thumbs up.

    Ah, someone has come forward!

I dunno, I think little lunch places with a niche can be cute. Might not be something I seek out constantly, but in the middle of my work day a hot sandwich and cup of soup on a cold day hits the spot more than my turkey I packed from home.

Everyone on the planet has a coffee pot at home, but look at Starbucks.

Hey, I like a fresh grilled cheese sammy. Maybe I should drive 26 miles at lunch to make one, as my office is equipped with only a coffee maker, a microwave, and a fridge. Nuked bread and cheese just isn't the same.

    Signed,

    rollin' in dough

PS if you don't like Chinese food there's something wrong with you. I'm lazy and wealthy, whereas you're just...wrong

I luff the thumbs up/thumbs down. It is a very easy way to rate the validity of the advice given on a thread. Someone gives some questionable advice, you notice 3 out of 27 members appreiated that post, so you can pass it by and disregard it. Kind of like "ask the audience" on who wants to be a millionaire.

It is also a good way to give someone kudos or let them know they are being a knothead. In the case of this thread and all the bad ratings you are receiving, AliCat, if it hasn't been made clear that you are being a knothead post a few more times and give yourself some more chances to get thumbs down ratings.

I appreciate your opinion. The thumbs down is the red icon in the lower right hand corner if you want to express it again anonymously.

In case you wondered, I was the red thumber on this post. I disagree with the bolded (mine) statement.

(PS - nothing against ya, Lex. You seem like a decent person, I just don't think your fan club makes up "most" of the female COTH population. )

What would make the thumbs a lot more fun is if there was a top 10 list running at all times as a sidebar on the forums that showed the user names that currently have the most thumbs down. Then we'd REALLY know who everybody hates around here. And maybe they would STFU.
LMAO, they would continue to post and bait people in the attempt to make them argue with their ignorance.
I don't always feel up to arguing with your ignorance

I am neither lazy nor someone who has money to waste (but thanks for the assumption).

Sometimes it's fun to go to a place where they do specialty grilled cheeses, you know, with something a little more interesting than the cheddar cheese or Monterey Jack or whatever cheese I have in my fridge and the cheap wheat bread that I get at the grocery store for $1.83. No different than going to a burger joint - I can make a burger on my stove, I can even do a stuffed burger if I put in the effort, but I can't do a fancy one.
