Clarksdale, MS--the golden buckle on the cotton belt
I've started a White House petition to ask the President to support privacy protections on the internet against private businesses tracking users. If any of you would sign, I'd appreciate it.
They've made it almost impossible to get through the gate. It takes 150 petition signers to get the petition published on the petitions site; then you have to get 25,000 signatures within a month to get actual consideration. I don't even know 150 people.
Still, if any of you support EU style privacy protection, here is the link to my petition: http://wh.gov/I6bw
I thought off topic day would be a good place to ask for signatures.

You don't need to know that many people. Try here, put it on craigslist, Facebook, etc. I don't know how to use Facebook and all of that stuff, but you can put it on craigslist in every city in the country in something like rants and raves and ask people to pass it on. I bet it will go. Someone more knowledgeable can explain how to pass it on in Facebook and other sites like that.
