Default Westboro to Picket in CT

Are you KIDDING ME???? So...what do we do about this?

    here.”

“Westboro 'God hates Fags' Baptist Church is planning to pciket at Sandy Hook, to praise 'God's judgment,'” Margie Phelps tweeted as well on Dec. 15.

Westoboro Baptist Church is known for carrying signs that read “Thank God for dead babies” and the like. It is unknown what kind of signs will be seen, if the Westboro Baptist Church actually pickets in Newtown, CT.

The Westboro Baptist Church is planning to picket the Sandy Hook Elementary School.

The Supreme Court ruled that it is legal for the Westboro Baptist Church to picket funerals. Despite that ruling, many cities and towns have passed laws that force the Westboro Baptist Church to stay a specific distance away from funerals.

Ignore it. They only picked where they know it will raise interest.

I'm so disgusted. I wish I were home right now so I could actually DO something.

I saw a picture from some school - I want to say Texas A&M? - where a human barrier was formed to keep those people out....

Well best of luck to Westboro Baptist Church in it's community after that.

It seems like a WTF?-type move to me.

I think there's gonna be some serious violence if those idiots show up. I bet they are just yanking their crank-o-meter again.

In all probability they won't show up. If they do and one of our country's many gun freaks decided that day was the day, you wouldn't hear a peep out of me. Only exception.

They don't have a snowball's chance...this was small children. This state won't begin to tolerate that.

I just don't believe that our founding fathers intended this to be protected under our first amendment. I believe that there should be protection from people screaming at you especially while grieving the loss of your loved ones whether our lost servicemen and servicewomen or from brutal massacres from whacked out individuals who should have been in an institution long ago. If you can hear them, they are too close. They can protest elsewhere.

Well, I'm thinking about driving up if I can be of help.

I'm going to keep my eye on it.

There is just no depth to which they will not stoop. BABIES??? How does anyone support these folks? What exactly is their spiritual basis? I also read that Texas (?) or somewhere the students locked arms and would not let them close. disgusting.

Put them in the staging area, lock them down with the state police, and let the families bury their children in peace. We have plenty of folks in this state who would be happy to throw up a human barrier between these nuts and the grieving families.

Absolutely disgusts me that innocent children are dead but these worthless pieces of @##$ are still walking the earth. I read that there are several groups of military vets who have worked to keep these POS's from funerals and are already planning to do so for this event. I hope the cops pull them over before they get anywhere near that area. There needs to be a law against them, what they do has nothing to do with freedom of speech and everything to do with pure evil.

The picture was of Texas A&M students forming a human barrier between the grieving family at the funeral of a fallen military service member, and the losers of Westboro. During the funerals of the murdered Amish girls at the school shooting there the entire town was placed on lockdown with state troopers and other officers keeping everyone but mourners out. Many states have protection laws to prevent scum like Westboro from harassing mourners and funerals, so maybe Connecticut is one, but if not they might pass a law quickly about this, and it will be too late for Westboro's lawyer (and daughter of the founder) to get an injunction. Many times Westboro announces they are going to picket, and if the weather is bad they don't show, or they just announce they are coming and decide to not tempt people to take them out.

There are many private organizations that will help including the Patriot Guard Riders, who ride their motorcycles across the country to escort the fallen, and protect their families from the Westboro and their hatred. I hope everyone from Westboro burns in hell.

I'd drive down. Family coming tomorrow, but afterwards no other obligations except spending Christmas Day with my mother at the home. Be very glad to link arms and keep them out.

If you want to see pics of A&M doing the human barrier, see here...it's good for the heart to see all the pics, but you can find just that one too.
