    Default I am thankful.

Today, I am thankful that MY step kids are safe.

    My horse is safe.

    My dogs are well-ish.

    My husband is safe.

    We are OKAY.

    I am thankful for that.

    What say you?
A good horseman doesn't have to tell anyone...the horse already knows.

Might be a reason, never an excuse...

    All the same as you.

I am thankful that my daughter is right in arms reach.

I am thankful that my husband will be coming home tonight (at some point...).

I am thankful that I have my puppy to snuggle.

I am thankful that my horse is doing so well.

I am so thankful for all the children that WERE able to get out of that elementary school today.

Sometimes it is hard to remember to be thankful for things. And since I sometimes struggle with depression, it can be hard sometimes to find those things to be thankful for. So maybe 4-6 months ago, I started making it a habit each night to say a prayer and tell God at least three things I am thankful for. Sometimes it is little things, like, "I am thankful for sprinkles on donuts!" (Some days I have to reach ). Other times it is bigger things, like "I'm thankful for an excellent husband." Some nights I list dozens of things I was thankful for that day.
