    Default Dear Heavenly Father...

May your loving arms wrap around each parent, wee one, teacher, EMT/paramedic, firefighter and police officer in Sandy Hook/Newtown CT this day.

Well said and Godspeed to all those lost souls. Hoping the injured and families and friends of the deceased make full recoveries.

I'm not religious, but I don't have any problem saying AMEN to this.

My thoughts are with the people and families. This is absolutely devastating.
A good horseman doesn't have to tell anyone...the horse already knows.

Might be a reason, never an excuse...

I'm not religious either, but count me as another one who has no problem saying Amen to this.

My heart goes out to everyone affected by this horrendous tragedy.

Amen. I can't imagine the horror of a parent whose child was in that school.

Amen. So say we all. So mote it be.

This song has always touched me, and I have been hearing it play in my head all morning. I am not overly religious, and I am sometimes unconvinced. But today I want to believe that there is a Green Pasture, and something leading the way for those lost.

    Green Pastures
    (Traditional/Brian Ahern)
Troubles and trials often betray those
On in the weary body to stray
But we shall walk beside the still waters
With the Good Shepherd leading The Way

Those who have strayed were sought by The Master
He who once gave His life for the sheep
Out on the mountain still He is searching
Bringing them in forever to keep

Going up home to live in green pastures
Where we shall live and die never more
Even The Lord will be in that number
When we shall reach that Heavenly Shore

We will not heed the voice of the stranger
For he would lead us all to despair
Following on with Jesus our savior
We shall all reach that country so fair

Going up home to live in green pastures
Where we shall live and die never more
Even The Lord will be in that number
When we shall reach that Heavenly Shore

I am also praying for all the people around the world that are at the point these men were this morning. May God heal their hearts so that they do not take innocent lives and the tragedies stop. God bless the parents involved. I cannot imagine losing a child this way.

Echoing all the Amens here. Please help those families cope with their personal losses and heartbreaks through Christmas and the New Year.
