    Default Jumper Breeding Nicks

I was discussing with a friend breeding nicks that exist in Jumper (and Dressage) breeding and was wondering if jumper breeders could chime in and jog my memory about some of the well known bloodline "Nicks" that have produced outstanding jumpers.

    Examples:
    • Capitol x Sacramento Song xx
    • Langraaf x Cor de la Bryere
    • Joost x Abgar xx (as used with the Roelof Stud in Holland)
    • Mr Prospector and Northern Dancer for Thoroughbred blood
    • Nasrullah and Princequillo older Thoroughbred blood
    • Galoubet A x Nimmerdor seems to me to have been quite successful with Big Star and Bubualu VDL.

Also, I would like to know if there any "nicks" with Quidam de Revel, Heartbreaker, Cassini, Cantus, Contender and Darco that are becoming apparent in today's sport?

Yes!! Someone please answer this!! I love QDR and Heartbreaker...

IIRC, Ramiro and Darco are supposed to be superb nicks for jumping.

I am just commenting on something I have noticed and I don't know if it qualifies as a nick, but Alme' or Galoubet A with Starter (Epsom Gesmeray and Baloubet Du Rouet are examples).

    Also Alme with Furioso blood.

Using Jalisco B (sire of QDR) and the above two one thing I notice in common is the Orange Peel on both the sire and dam sides.
