Default A book series recommendation - HR!

I know many of us appreciate a good mystery series and thought I would share one that I stumbled on - the Ben Reese series by Sally Wright. The protagonist is an archivist professor at a small private college in OH and a WWII veteran. The series is set in the 60s and all kinds of interesting murders drop in his lap, of course!

The HR part is that Prof. Reese has a rescue TB named Journey, and the author always weaves horses into each book in a small but meaningful and realistic way. Not a fake nicker or whinny to be found! The author herself has a horse and rides dressage.

And only 2.99 each at the kindle store! Enjoy! The first in the series is titled Publish and Perish. I'm almost through the series.

Thank you, Roisin! I'm almost finished with the biography of Admiral Nelson, and after almost 1,000 pages, I'm ready to read something horsey on dry land. I'll check it out.
