All of the "good for yous!" in the comment section made me want to ... and her verbiage is so sticky sweet

"Meindert really loves wearing them." is what made my eyes roll. I'm picturing him sashay-ing down a runway -- Tyra Banks style -- in his hoof boots for some silly reason.

I am not a Fresian fan nor a MS fan but was happy to see a helmet in that last pic. They rest of it just sounded like someone trying to explain something horsey to somebody not horsey. That can make us all sound like idiots!

It's a cute entry in a blog. I see nothing wrong with it. It is more basic, in knowledge, than other blogs, but it is accurate and interesting.

This is something someone like my horse-illiterate mom would find interesting and pass on to her friends and they would all ooh and ahh and become more educated.

    Nothing wrong with that.

the comments were pretty stupid but I didn't see anything wrong with the blog entry itself.

And I would love to ride around her property! Looked so pretty with all the changing leaves.

Looked fine to me - horse related, well put together photo series and education for the horse and non-horse people. I thought it was kinda cool and I'm not a MS at all.

Anyone else notice the long toe & hoof angle in pict 17? Heel slightly under-run too? *I dunno*

Yep, a nice bit of fluff for the overwhelming non-horsey majority that reads her blog.

Agreed completely. It's not a horse blog, its a Martha Stewart blog, and this entry just so happens to be about her horses. I actually really liked her photo set with the captions - simple, but thorough explanations. It was cute. I read it with a smile on my face.

Then I read some of the comments from the Barefoot Mafia, and THATS when I started rolling my eyes.
People call themselves animal lovers, then let their dogs chase the squirrels. You're scaring the shit out of the squirrels, you schmuck!

    I loved the barn tour!

Another observation: it's very subtle, but every blog entry I read had a link to some company or another. Product placement at its best! Wonder what folks had to pay to get mentioned? Or does MS exchange product placement for services rendered?
