My heart breaks for you and your family. Every dog, heck every animal, should be so lucky to have a kind, caring, and compassionate owner as you. You were completely selfless, and did what was best for your dog.
Many, many *hugs* to you, and lots of love.

Im so sorry If it indeed was IMHA, it can be a very expensive disease to treat with multiple blood transfusions often required. Im sure it was a hard decision, but your pup is comfortable now ;( Im very sorry for your loss.

Squish (love that name!!) Yes it was IMHA; there were not only the transfusions, but a shocking number of drugs; some to shut down the immune situation, some to try and prevent the clots, on and on. And even allowing for all that, his prognosis was "guarded".
Thanks to everyone for all the support!

A good horseman doesn't have to tell anyone...the horse already knows.
Might be a reason, never an excuse...

Dogs are so stoic that a diagnosis is often not made until it's really too late. I'm glad you were able to make that decision. It is our final gift to them. So sorry for your loss.

Flip a coin. It's not what side lands that matters, but what side you were hoping for when the coin was still in the air.
