Just thinking about that lovely slide show of horses and ponies who have passed over. I know I had at least 4 on the show. I just can't find the link and wanted to re-visit it. As far as I remember it was a few years ago and dedicated to Willem who passed. Anyone remember? Guide me to the slide show please.

OH YES....that is it. Many many thanks. I cried again, and will pass it along to the new owners of CindyLou, the foal of Mattie, pictured (chestnut mare with foal by side who was blind).
Now off to the barn to share with everyone. Sigh.......you made my day.

I do miss my Nomad He was born on July 2 I think 1976 and died October 18, 2007. He was an awesome horse and a Chester County, PA favorite. He had so many friends and won so many shows in varied disciplines from driving to hunter to western pleasure and was a school master to my son a beginner. He was super smart and cute half Arabian(25% Crabbett) and half Appaloosa, he had the best of both breeds but not the App color. A fence was never an obstacle if he wanted to graze on the other side but he always hopped back over in time for dinner pretending that he never left the pasture. He was a kids transportation to visit a friend a couple miles away or a show pony that was year end high point hunter for 5 years in a row. Most of all, he was my friend and my first horse, an unexpected dream.

I'm usually fine until the frame where the horse disappears. Ann did such a wonderful job on that video. She spent a lot of time and energy on it. It has been a comforting thing to many--even not horsey folks. My uncle who is a pastor has shared it with several in his church community when they've lost a pet.

Okay, I was good, smiling at the pictures and thinking "What a wonderful life these horses had with the people who loved them!" ... until the horse disappeared.

I have something in both my eyes now. And I was sniffly to begin with.

I haven't watched that in a while... We still miss Angel, Zardene, and Cam and more of our herd have joined them since that moving tribute was made :-(

BBer Risk-Averse Rider made this after she had to put her dear mini The Princess to sleep. We were texting about when you knew it was okay, and I just said "This it be right." She sent the sweet little gal over the bridge that day. Hard, so hard, but you always have to put your horse first.

I am even okay when I see the photo of Willem on here, but it's Millie and Copper - the elderly lady with the very old chestnut - that gets me every time. Millie died in May 2007, and we put Copper to sleep December 21 of that year.

Willem has been gone over nine years. Still miss him. This, too, it be right.

Yeah, the Millie/Copper picture is very striking to me. I remember you talking about her Coreene. She sounded like a really neat lady.

I thought of Coreene too when I saw the picture of Millie and Copper too. And FG and Dan. And Wilhem... does he still talk to you Coreene?
I joined Coth because a barnmate told me about Wilhem... nine years... it feels like yesterday.
