    Default Back at the knee

Can being back at the knee be helped by good farrier work/shoes? A horse at the barn is new and is barefoot but is back at the knee I'm one long more than the other. Her heels are low and the toe is long so would that contribute anything? They are going to have the farrier(who won't shoe) come take a look this week. Would corrective showing help? She is a good mover and had a good racing career so me thinks this might just be being increased by the unmatched angles in her hooves an Pasterns. Thanks for the input I know nothing about this

Long toes and low, underrun heels can very easily, and many times does, make a horse stand over at the knee to relieve sore heels.

It's not about corrective shoeing, it's about correct trimming

IF a situation is such that a trim can't bring the foot up where it should be, then applying proper shoes with a wedge for a couple of cycles often does the trick while the foot is being fixed in the meantime.
