Default Atlanta Horse Communities - Activities?

I am about to move to Atlanta and hope to be able to get involved in some horsey stuff. Not lessons right away (can't afford them at present and not really up to serious riding right now), but maybe some volunteer stuff? Even a paid job at some point?

I will be in the Atlanta-Roswell-maybe East Cobb area. ...

Therapeutic riding-related activities would be great.

Feel free to PM me if you like.

You could always be used at events at poplar, big bear, etc. They always need help on big show days.

I just tried to post, but got booted off somehow, so forgive me if this ends up being duplicative.

All 3 options noted above are good. Also, Huntcliff (up GA 400 in Alpharetta) has a good Horses for Heroes program that works with veterans returning from the Middle East.

If you consider volunteering at Chastain Horse Park, PM me and we can discuss before you get involved there.
