Thank you all for the ideas! I am waiting for JMet's kitty sweater, and if she does not like that (she *is* Siamese, after all!) I'm going to try some of those other options. Plus I'm passing this thread on ...I know someone else with a 20 year old kitty that might like a little extra warmth!

Ditto the self-reflecting pet mat from K & H and the SnuggleSafe pet disc. Good luck with the sweater!
Did the angry Persian ever escape the sweater? My old man dog has a sweater of sorts but I don't leave him home alone in it because he can slip a foreleg inwards, trapped under the sweater, when he transitions from curled up sleeping to waking up and walking. I imagine this would be an even bigger risk in a flexible cat.

Sigh, I knew I shouldn't have linked that site. I just ended up ordering another cat mat and some ice cleats for myself.

Old Man Joey already sent his list to Santa Paws and now he'd like to make a late addition: http://cozywinters.com/shop/12v-heated-petbed.html.
Sigh.

All my kitties have heated cat beds. They are just like heating pads but they only heat up if kitty is laying on it. I got mine at the feed store and they also carry them on Amazon.

I was going to suggest a space blanket - the silver ones one takes on hikes in case of getting lost.
But you guys are the kindest bunch, spoiling your kitties so.

JLMet...I also have a Persian I picked up off the city streets of Grand Rapids, MI...he weighed in at about 3 lbs as an adult (he was also neutered). He's been with me since 2005 (and up to 15 lbs) - and I know that stare -he gives it to me a lot when I do things like clip his butt to stop the poops from sticking. Love it!
Will post picks of Levi (blue-point Siamese) when the sweater arrives. She's doing much better - actually eating well, jumped on the bed for her nightly scritches - NEVER rear declaw a cat...they cannot itch themselves at all. She drools all over when we have our scritch-sessions.
Yes, I have the..."Oh, look..she'll take us home and feed us" sign over my head. Bob, my Persian, walked right up to me the moment I got out of my car, as if to say, "Well, it took you long enough!!!"
