High Level was very impressive IMO last year. I too have been wondering about him. He actually remended me alot of an OTTB I worked with back in my teenage years.

How do you get tickets for the expo at the end? I would LOVE to go, but I can't see where you buy tickets, or if there is even a date set yet. Thanks in advance- this is so exciting to watch!

I found out the other night that High Level is back with his breeder/owner, Jim Falk. Not sure what Jim's plans for him are.

The Pennsylvania Expo is Thursday, February 21-24. I *think* the RRTP part with the guest riders, etc., is on Saturday, but I'm not sure, yet - schedule hasn't been released. I'm sure that the Fox Hunt outing will be included in the next training update, but here's what Steuart posted on Facebook:

Suave Jazz was as great hunting yesterday as we hoped…until we got to the first ugly stream crossing. Our one stream schooling session wasn't enough. He was very clear that the further away from it the safer he'd be. The hunt field is no place to slowly and tactfully address these kinds of issues, so we went home. We'll do lots of streams this week and be back soon. He didn't jig when we walked and he stood at checks. This was with no chemical, herbal, or mineral assistance. He is just proof of Bruce Davidson's unequivocal statement during our Kentucky event that "Thoroughbred horses have the best temperament of any breed."

Just wanted to chime in and say that while I really enjoyed last year's format, I think I prefer this year's. I like seeing updates of all the horses at the same time, and I like the trainer's comparisons of the horses. There also seems to be less incentive under this format for a trainer to rush a horse (which is not to say that any of last year's trainers did that). Now.... where are the week 3 videos?

Yes Ms. Brazil is the most loved and admired horse on the planet. She is doing a great job learning her new career and is doing her part to keep the U.S. peppermint industry going.

Thanks to my increased work schedule she has won a fabulous vacation in sunny Florida with our trainer, Steph Butts, this winter. I would rather be on her myself every day but what an incredible opportunity for her to get exposed to everything while I'm being exposed to my four office walls.

JBRP really picked a great horse who she is an ambassador for the breed.

I finally set aside a block to time to watch all of the videos last night. I'm really enjoying--and learning a lot--by watching how each of the horses handles being asked essentially the same thing. I'm hardly a wonderful rider by any means, but I see now that I've always wanted to sort of "micro-manage" every little thing rather than just go along and let the horse sort things out.

One thing I did notice about Declan (and this may/may not be true of him at all), but he did exhibit some of the head movements that my confirmed headshaking horse does (strike out in canter, up and down brief shaking of head, etc). It doesn't look to be very bad, and since he's not going to be for sale it probably doesn't matter much.

Looking forward to more reports and more videos.

Love Suave Jazz not the fanciest of the bunch but lovely mind and he will be fancy enough. I do think they are all nice.

I like all of them but Alluring Punch is my favorite, probably because he has some quirks and a bit of hotness . I always seem to be drawn to those sorts, especially when they are fancy and he looks like he will be a terrific jumper. Too young to do a lot yet though...

AP is lovely. If I was buying for myself, the gray mare is more my type of ride. But I still love Suave Jazz...he'd be a great one in the barn to have and I think more suited for a lot of riders.
