Well it has been mostly about alcohol, snacks, and the sexiness of Lex, so not too surprising.

I can't even keep up with this thread!

My name IS Ali, but I am not a cat. I think I'd like a life of laying around, sleeping and attacking people's feet while they're sleeping.

I know we just had some good OT days.
I wonder if we are needing a few more OT days.
Must be the stress of the holidays and all else going on.

I also have to agree with those on here who've advised caution and empathy regarding the pile-on. No one knows where an indivudual's personal 'edge' might be, and I don't think any of us would want to feel that we contributed to pushing someone over it.

This is - when all is said and done - an annonymous BB, and we ALL bear personal responsibility for using our own common sense filters for advice that is posted. There are a lot of knowledable, experienced voices here that can provide wise counsel on a variety of subjects, just as there are IRL - but that doesn't absolve any of us from doing our own due diligence and having our own vets, trainers, farriers, etc., see our horses if we feel we have a problem that we can't handle on our own.

Can I pretend to be the missing Graatan just for S&G? Maybe like Ohhhhh no I am of course a vet that graduated suma cum laude, have worked on elephants in africa, polar bears in the artic and whales in the pacific, as well as being the best danged vet you have never heard of!

Its just getting a little boring without any trolls

My name was my maiden name, Michele Macallister, 2 marriages later, its now Cook. In my defense the first one was 10 years ago and lasted a year, the second one just started in Sept. I am hoping this one lasts a little longer.

If not I will just chase down Lex

Yes, but it really is very disappointing to be lied to, and people should shoulder the responsibility of being honest ,or get out of Dodge.

Not really too much to ask, is it?

Um, "pile-on"? I don't think there's been a pile-on at all. If the 350+ posts on this thread were tallied, the vast majority of them would not be about Grataan at all. The vast majority are completely OT hi-jinks, plus I think there are actually more posts questioning the veracity of the OP than discussing Grataan. Of the ones that actually mention Grataan allegedly masquerading as a veterinarian, a lot of them expressed disappointment "if true" but not anger, and probably less than 5% actually stated that what she's allegedly doing is wrong.

[QUOTE=Gestalt;6702759]I thought "maunder" was something about "drivel"?QUOTE]

    Looks like both meanings-
    ▸ verb: wander aimlessly
▸ verb: talk indistinctly; usually in a low voice
▸ verb: speak (about unimportant matters) rapidly and incessantly

(One Look Dictionary is my friend-thanks for the new word).

AnneFS - You are correct and I worded it badly. Not so much that there has been a horrific 'pile-on' as just hoping that people will continue to be careful in not allowing it to become one.

Funny but I did not think Lex was a guy....I knew Bluey was a woman.

My virtue was stolen long ago...I am a closet member of the John Birch society.

All that aside, I get pretty dissappointed when people are not who they claim to be...I know silly. I find it sad when people lie.
