How many people have bought blue pop rocks because of what other people say on BB's? Who has used other medications on their horses even though their vet won't prescribe it because it is for dogs and not horses? All of this because wise Cother's said so.
Sure, we don't take online vet advice to heart (or shouldn't)... but just hop over to Horse Care, and you'll see thousands of threads asking for medical advice. So clearly people seek that stuff and most likely follow the advice, especially if the person comes with "credentials".
Yes, but the most consistent advice they get is "call a vet." If they "most likely" follow that, good. They should.
I'm 99.234512341348723451826% certain that her co-workers all hated her guts, which is probably one of several reasons why she got fired and why she wouldn't leave me alone during the day. I remember she would rant online about how people don't understand what a wonderful person she really is and why they should really take the time to get to know the real woman she was. Ironically, she was also VERY clingy with the COTHer she was leasing a horse from and the girl's Eventing coach who later became her coach as well after the girl she was leasing from got out of horses because she couldn't fit it in with taking college courses.
Seriously? What does this ongoing crap have to do with the OP? Can you start your own thread to further your discourse? thanks
Can someone give me a cheat sheet on how to "check credentials" on a poster? Do you PM them and ask, assuming that if they won't provide creds the poster is a faker?
It depends on what they are saying/claiming/presenting but when you get right down to it, you can't really check someone's credentials unless they have made specific statements about themselves and what they do in relation to what they are saying that points towards a verifiable identity. Everything else is just a matter of sorting through whatever they are saying and determining fact from fiction.
Thus do we growl that our big toes have,
at this moment, been thrown up from below!
Well, my sig line used to be "he's not really a pony, and I'm really not pony aged, either". That happened after I met some COTHers IRL and they were shocked, shocked, I say, that I'm not a small child. Perhaps I should be concerned about that ...
And perhaps not.
