After careful consideration (and some influence from my SO and the stallion owner) I have decided to breed my mare this spring. It will be her first foal and mine.
My SO is also my vet and will be doing the repro work on my mare. I know if I have any technical questions I can ask him, but he gets very busy during breeding season so I would like to keep silly "first time mom" questions to a minimum.
I have been around breeding and foals, so have a pretty good idea of things, but now that I'm faced with my own I feel the need for more information. I have found answers to many of my questions on the forum and online, but I would like to have a book or two on hand that I can flip through for general info.
Anyone have any books on the subject to reccommend?
