Does anyone else remember this video? It was at a show, and they were allowed to go in and around before beginning. The horse just turned inside out, and it was one of the nicest examples of soft, effective riding I've ever seen. By the end, the horse was happy, and going through the test beautifully.
This has to be at least a year old, and I can't find it.
Anyone know where to find this?

Yes! I remember. It was a young horse test IIRC, in a large spooky indoor auditorium at some large show and I recall him giving the horse some lovely soft pats on the neck and clearly being able to see him talking to the horse

I remember the video as well. It was HP on a young horse and what a great job he did with a very scared youngster!

No, that's not the video, I remember it too. Was a larger show, with lots of flowers around the arena, and the flowers just turned the poor horse inside out. Would love to see it again.

I had seen this video before and remember it but seeing it again is really reassuring. The first 4 shows with my 5 y/o went like that. The stopping, balking, getting light, then brave again only to stop again, etc. I love how soft and rewarding he was for ZiZi Top. That is what my trainer always stresses to me - when my horse spooks, I must put my leg on but hands forward and do not catch him in the mouth and dont force him to look at what he is spooking at, just circle and slowly spiral closer and closer.

very tactful riding and training. He never traps the horse with the reins but just keeps rewarding and giving rein whenever possible. Very nice.

In the title area of that video it was noted "slow motion". Ad a single test, even with generous amounts of time to let a scared horse get around before is not almost 16 minutes.

How nice of Theo to repost that video--and I loved seeing it in slow motion--it really enables you to study the rider's balance, strength and tact. Alicen, if you arranged that, thanks. And, yoo whoo, I get on here as often as I can, but not every day!

I like seeing it in slow-mo so you can study the rider's face. He stays calm, let's the horse have his moments, doesn't force him to "Face it!" and let's him think it thru before asking, again, for "Forward." Wonderful video!
