    Default Ravel's Foals... Updates?

Any updates on the big guy's kids? I don't believe any of them are old enough for competing, but I'd love any info on any of them!

Clearly you guys need some motivation.

Here's (his only foal that I know of) one from last year... can you say "want!"?

I may have also read somewhere that he beat out t=one of Totilas's colts? I'd love to know more, or if anyone knows of any Ravel babies that hit the ground in '12.

If I'm not mistaken, Ravel's semen was only available in Holland and DG Bar in conjunction with Ravel's owner bred and purchased a mare there and then imported her to the US. Given that and the fact that Ravel has been gelded for a while now, I don't think you'll get many stories about his babies.

Oh I know there won't be alot, and I'm not sure how likely it will be that any of his colts will stay intact if they inherit his hot-headedness, but I was just wondering if there's anything being said through the grapevine.

Default Ravel's oldest offspring are 5yrs old

Ravel actually has offspring that were born in the Netherlands in 2004-2007. the oldest ones are showing at 3rd level. He has some daughters that have earned the keur & sport predicates.

My barnmate just imported on of his babies---he's 7 or 8---named Allure. He's from Holland. He literally just arrived in the barn yesterday from L.A. quarantine. Have only met him with his blanket on, but he's got a very thoroughbredy face and is clearly used to getting treats (smiles and tilts his head---very cute!)

He was gelded because he was unable to handle breeding and working.

    Oooooh!! Have any pics?!

I heard that Ravel had always bred mares via AI, and when he was in quarantine on his way to the US, he had to do live cover on two mares and finally put two and two together... I believe the final straw was him mounting a wheelbarrow.
