Default Rider, riding his horses to death?

Has anyone heard a story about some guy riding a horse/horses across the USA and has been riding them to death. I have a friend that's up in Va. ask me about this. It seems I heard something about it a while back but cannot locate the article about it with the names. If you know about it, please drop me a line.

Sounds like a real horseman there (NOT!!!) He has lost at least four horses before he gave up.
His ride was supposed to raise awarness for horse abuse. Unfortunately he was doing so by showing examples of it.

This guy should be arrested or at least given a ticket for horse abuse. He sounds like he has a screw loose and needs to be stopped.

The Longrider's Guild has a hall of shame on their website which mentions several people over the years who have been brutal to their mounts. Your friend might find the story there.

From the long riders guild is the list of those who did lose their lives along the way. Some are pretty frightening ...

but this is in no way pointing fingers of blame at these circumstances.

However, ....here is your wall of shame
