I KNEW I'd read that book (and probably still have my copy somewhere if I didn't lose it in the flood of 2003)! But I down loaded the free version anyway. Thanks for both the tip and Rallycairn's link!

This is one of the better horsey adult romance-type novels out there. It's got it's crazy plot elements, but it's a fun read and the horse detail is pretty good ... even with the Andalusian show jumper. It's been hard to find for several years, and often expensive, so having a Kindle edition is excellent news. (A FREE Kindle edition is better yet!)

Yes, Navarro, the show jumping Andalusian with the -- wait for it -- broken leg. Don't worry, he recovers completely!
PS: And that's just set up for how she gets a good horse; I didn't give away any major plot points/spoilers.

Not to take over the thread but one kindle horse book that I really enjoyed was Horseplay by Judy Reene Singer. It's about an adult working student. Kind of a cheesy romance but I enjoyed it and have never found a book about working students before.

It is very funny and the author is a poster here, so well worth your support!

Read this book a while back, and laughed out loud many times. Definitely a good one!

Horseplay was a lot of fun--along the same lines is The Dressage Chronicles, which has a similar plot, so if you liked the one you might like the other.
The description of Trophies reminded me of Ring of Fire by Anne McCaffrey, which is an awesome horsey romance/mystery...

I read Horseplay years ago and just remember laughing every time the protagonist bemoaned the fact that she didn't even have a "level".

Nope - looked into it yesterday and it was the same - free for Prime only. No big deal but I just wanted to point that out. (And while I was at it I ended up uploading a dozen other truly free books so I am set for a while.)
