The horse I rode in high school was actually owned by a 90+ year old woman before I started leasing her. Her daughter would help get the horse ready, and help her mount, and then they would trail ride together. Both awesome ladies!

I want to be that cool.

Being a northerner I had never even heard of her. Reading those articles I became a cyber stalker looking for articles and pictures. Every picture she is so soft and totally balanced with her horse, she is someone I will try to emulate. Would love to see video!

In 1992 Ellie Wood rode in the Palm Beach Medal/Maclay winners alumni class under the lights at Palm Beach Polo. She rode the Firestone's cute mare L'Etoile. She hunted the jumps and as i recall got a standing ovation. They were 3'6". I am not sure, but I think she is still pretty involved with the Farmington Hunt. She may still hilltop. Amazing woman.

To still be riding at 90 would be amazing.

I met her when I was at UVA. Her farm (Keithwood) is right up the road from The Barracks. She would rode up every now and again while taking her horses out for a hack during the summer. She is one awesome lady and her riding form is impeccable.
