yeah, in my experience, if it's far enough over their heads they really don't seem to care much. now, if they were *moving* i suspect that would be a whole 'nother ball o' wax...

I wish i had a photo of the Christmas program we did with my mom's horse when i was in college: prob a 10-15ft tree (no joke!) with proportionate-sized gifts, candycane lane complete with snow, sleigh bells on the horse and about 150 elementary school kids! He loved every minute. He's perfect

We have a big bunch of speakers hanging in our arena. I doubt my horse would notice... OTOH I wouldn't want to ride under it.

My Leo wouldn't give it a second thought and go on about his bidness. Now, my Sammy would prolly find a ladder to climb so's he could check out the decorations. I've found he is truly fearless in situ's other horses would stroke over.

I don't think I'd want to ride under one either.

would not even pay attention to that.... and on one of the FB pages I saw it posted, people are saying "a lawsuit waiting to happen". Only in the US would you think lawsuit before thinking that it is a great decoration idea. I am sure the trees are well secured! Sheesh people..

My pony would probably be oblivious for the first 42 minutes of our ride, then catch sight of it and we'd all be toast.

My big guy wouldn't care at all, as long as you didn't ask him to jump it.

I think at 18hh - I would probably be hitting my head and my horse would be having a fit. It is worse when we have something new at home. At a show nothing bothers him because everything is new

Sounds familiar. Yoko is of a similar school of thought. Oh, dog running out in front of a jump? Whatever, I'll just jump a stride early, fine. Neighbor shooting .50 during our entire lesson, other horses in a panic? Snoozefest. Hanging trees? Are they edible?

Hay field next to the ring recently baled? IT WILL KILL US!
