Default DC peeps: Lesson stable accessible from Georgetown?

I want to give my 8yo (horse-crazy) niece a series of riding lessons for xmas. They live in Georgetown, so clearly any stable will require some driving in traffi. Regardless, they want to keep it as close as practial.
They did look at the stable in Rock Creek Park, but it wasn't a good fit.

    Any suggestions? Thanks!

Woodlawn Stables in Alexandria, VA. From Georgetown, they'll just cross the Key Bridge and follow the GW Parkway down through Old Town to the stables. Some people will offer up Meadowbrook in Silver Spring (not a bad option) but I think Woodlawn would logistically be the easiest from Georgetown, and their lesson program is a respectable one.
