Default RIP Fred Astair (Hanoverian stallion owned by Tom Noone)

So very sad to report the death of this lovely stallion. He was never really promoted as a breeding stallion much, but he was a magnificent stallion, a great competitor and he will be missed.

Yes also mentioned on ES Falsterbo thread but deserves own thread. Two lovely young stallions gone too soon. Such fragile creatures.

This makes me incredibly sad. I had hoped that after he had finished up his under saddle career, he would get the chance to really be promoted and used as a breeding stallion.

I first saw him on a raw, icy January day in 2002, while he was in quarantine here in Virginia. It was love at first sight. He sired three wonderful horses for me. I was so lucky to be able to use him.

What a shame to lose this lovely boy so early. I saw Fred Astair several times under saddle with Tom Noone. He was a gorgeous, talented and kind stallion. My most sincere condolences to all who knew and loved him.
