Default Pony quarter sheet, anyone crafty?

I'm looking for a fitted quarter sheet for a petite 12.1 hand pony. Apparently this item doesn't exist in Canada. I considered ordering one from Just for Ponies but then I wondered how hard it would be to make one. Has anybody done this? Is there a pattern somewhere? I think I could probably make it up but I was hoping someone had some experience with this. Thanks

Yes. I have the suitability pattern. It's not too hard at all. For me it's finding the time to do it that's the challenge. I have plans to make all the fly masks for my herd this winter. I bought the patterns for saddle pads, quarter sheets, and such last year after buying a quarter sheet for my 13 hand pony from Just for ponies and while it's good quality it swallows up a VERY stout 13 hand cob. I ordered the patterns online.

Where are you in Canada? Brubacher's Harness will make blankets, sheets, etc. They are located in Wallenstein, Ontario.

grab a piece of fleece, cut to shape.

If you do the kind with the cut out fr the rider, get some velcro to sew on the front. done.

The local pit of evil (AKA Walmart) has small fleece throws for around 3 bucks. they are really thin, though but you can't buy material that cheap.

the fleece won't unravel on you, thus you don't need to sew.

I think they have bulk felt on a roll, too, if that's more to your liking, but I could not tell you how that would hold up.

but if you put the blanket under the saddle, a small throw would probably serve you well enough without getting crafty.
