Default I did a Pin Up photoshoot!

I've only gotten two of the final pics back so far from the photographer (a friend) but I was so excited I had to share!

We did retro-style pin up shots - flirty but not raunchy. I had 4 different outfits and she took over 600 images. We used tons of fun props!

Here are the first two I have gotten - hopefully by next OT I'll have more to share!

    awesome!

a photog friend showed some shots where the theme had been pin up, but the models didn't quiet get the flirty thing down.

really good shots! I am impressed!

Super cute! I'm jealous, I can never pull off the retro look, but you do it quite well!

Those came out great! I get lots of perks having a photog friend who likes to try knew things too which works out well for me lol. They look like you had a bunch of fun too!

Cute!! That looks like fun. I've always wanted to do a boudoir shoot for $hits and giggles but it's a little out of my price range at the moment.

Very cool! I also am jealous, my hair won't hold a curl long enough for me to ever pull off the pinup look. (: I absolutely love pinup art and would love to do something like this just for fun...

Very cool! Cute too. I have a few friends that have been encouraging me to do a pin-up shoot and have given me recommendations for a few great photographers. It's not in the budget right now, but it is something I'd love to do at some point. I bet it was fun.

Those are really nice! I did a boudoir shoot once for a friend who was trying out the genre, and it was REALLY fun, but these are SO classy!

I'd looove to do a retro/pin up shoot too! I'd enjoy just trying out the look (hairstyle and makeup!)

Not totally the same, but a friend of mine had a portrait done for her grandparents' anniversary. She and her new husband used an old photo from the 40s of them and modeled their clothing and hairstyles to match, also in black and white. The friend looked a lot like her grandmother at that age, and with the hair and accessories, it was really well done. I thought it was a sweet gift :-)

Wanted to respond to this but I missed cutoff for the last Off Topic day.

    A few reasons...

I LOVE pinup style everything - clothes, hair, & makeup - but don't really run with a crowd where doing that on a daily basis would be normal. So I jumped at the opportunity!

I lost 20lbs this year, so it seemed like a great reward!

And, my boyfriend is a Marine - so I also got to do some military-themed shots which I just got in time to print off and give to him for his birthday! They are a little more suggestive than the above published ones. I keep looking at these thinking ... wow, that's ME.

Nonsense! Dress up the bedroom, or rent a hotel room in a unique hotel, enlist a good friend and a few bottles of wine. I did this (sshh!) with a fellow bride-to-be earlier this year and we had a BLAST. We are both pretty reserved people, but by the end of the night we were giggling and having a great time. Photos turned out fantastically, I put together a book at MyPublisher.com and gave it to Mr. Heinz as a wedding present. He thought it was fantastic.

Fun! I borrowed some of Mr. Heinz' gear (also a Marine) for our shoot. I'm planning to do another book for him before he deploys with the NG in 2014. I know what you mean about seeing yourself...it's a little surprising. You look great in these!
