Default Justin Beiber ....what an insult!

Did anyone see what Justin Beiber wore to receive his Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal? Overalls, held up by one strap, a T shirt, and his hat on backwards? Really???? And he received it from the Prime Minister dressed like that? What is wrong with this kid?

When my mother received her medal, the letter she received informing her that she was being honoured clearly stated 'business attire'. Could he not have shown a bit more respect to Queen and country? Are there no responsible adults directing this boy?

    Rant over!

Am I the only one scared that one strap overalls may be coming back now after this?

It was scary the first time around!

and I don't mean to make light of your topic. I totally agree with you, he should have dressed better than that. I don't understand why singers think the rules do not apply to them.

He showed no respect at all for the honour he was being given, nor the person he was receiving it from. I thought he was supposed to be the epitome of the clean-cut boy next door? Not a good example at all.

When the members of Rush received their Order Of Canada inductions, Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson, and Neil Peart all wore tuxedos, as was appropriate. Class.

Well you can't compare Rush and Justin Beiber.lol
I am sure he has enough money for a nice suit.
    Pretty sad.

I would also like to know. He's really done nothing to deserve it as near as I can see, unless being annoying is now part of the criteria

Ah, well, that's what comes of bestowing honors on teenagers. Or pop stars, come to that. And to be fair, that boy needs all the male-coded attire he can get his little girly hands on.

I am so grateful LMEqT appears to have no interest in these boys. There is a minor perking up at the likes of Isiah Mustafa and Johnny Depp.

He looks like a rapper wanna-be. Maybe he is catering to his aging (ha!) demographic.

He/his handlers obviously wanted to make a statement, that would at the least, piss off most people a generation older than he is.

    It worked, too.

You would think there would be a dress code. ... I cannot stand the kid and I am so glad I don't have kids that would be young enough to love him. What an insult! I would have told him to go and dressed if he wanted the medal (which I really do not think he deserved!)

I was so tempted to post something on his facebook page, but then thought about the millions of death threats I would get from his pre-pubescent followers!

They are running a poll with the article in our local paper. So far, 72% (over 1700 people) feel that his attire was disrespectful and disgraceful.

I didn't see it - but agree with all of you. But these kids are 'managed', or 'micro-managed' and he is only, what, 18 years old. Famous for very little, really. Apart from driving a white Ferrari too fast, has he set up any really effective foundation, done his bit anywhere?

I perk up with Johnny Depp!
and I'm old.. it takes a lot these days to get me perky.

Bieber was out of line.. did you see the expression on Harper's face? (not that Harper ever really has that much of an expression).

I'm actually disappointed in him. I'm no fan (and my 9 year old son is horrified by him) but I did actually think he was a pretty clean cut boy handling fame well. But, yes, I think this was incredibly disrespectful.

I think Bieber is actually kind of a jerk. I was torn between laughing and turning the TV off when he dedicated his first AMA this past week to "his haters". Also, his pants were around his knees. HIS KNEES.

Not only is the kid annoying, he's beyond disrespectful.
