Similarly, I have my "WTF?" moment when I see couples get all lovey-dovey to Pearl Jam's "Better Man." Seriously?!? I don't think people actually listen to the lyrics.

My brother and his wife chose "Somebody" by Depeche Mode. While the majority of the song isn't bad, the last lines erase any of the good things said before.

Toby doesn't sing that... that's Tim McGraw.

Someone mentioned "If you think I'm sexy" by Rod Stewart. Happy to know even Rod hates that song. I heard a long time ago that it's the only one of his songs he refuses to sing live.

As for me... anything T.Swift or Beiber makes me wanna yak. I'm a HUGE Rascal Flatts fan, but their stuff does get overplayed to the point of prompting yak. Add to my list of hated songs anything religious played on non-religious radio stations ("Jesus Take the Wheel" being right up there)... along with 95% of Christmas songs (though I do love "Last Christmas"). Most Beatles and Stones make the list as does most rap. Current cannot stand does include "Motorboating" by Little Big Town. BLECH!!@!

One of my favorites of hers is "Cactus Tree"... but it could have something to do with the visual of Viggo Mortensen's bare butt from the movie "A Walk on the Moon" with Diane Lane.

Thanks for the correction. I think I shall blame the brainfart on this "plague" I'm fighting off A coworker has a photo of him on her monitor at work. I could see him but obviously the name came out wrong!

You really have to be stoned to listen to Pink Floyd. Their music is not meant to be heard by sober people. I had my wisdom teeth out with nitrous oxide and "The Wall".

"I Feel the Earth Move" by Carole King. I hate that song so much that it renders me speechless. If I had the money, I would buy the rights to that song and refuse to allow anyone else to ever sing, play, or perform it in any way ever again.

LOL - it's not Neil Young, it's the comedian Dana Carvey making fun of Neil Young because all of Neil's songs sound the same.

I completely agree with you on this for some (the majority? LOL) of their albums, but they've got some really beautiful stuff too. I find the album Wish You Were Here to be incredibly beautiful and it's one of my favorites. So much so that I named one of our ponies after it!

Apparently I have pretty bad taste in music but that's okay. I like Taylor-except for "we are never ever...", that song sucks.
To the wedding discussion I add "One" by U2. I love it, but it's not a wedding song.
For some reason I'm having a little trouble thinking, but I give special mention to Rihanna/Eminem. I actually like "Love the Way You Lie" but it takes a special kind of girl to put out a song about I like the way it hurts after she gets beat up by her boyfriend. Yeah, she's special.

Has anyone nominated Enrique Iglesias' "Hero"?

Just nauseating on every level. The disgustingly sappy lyrics, the way Iglesias sort of half-talks/half sings parts of it. Absolutely dreadful.

    Go ahead, have a listen!
