My boyfriend and I are coming down to Miami Beach in a couple of weeks for ArtBasel. Outside of the art fairs, we'll have a few free days otherwise to explore and would love some recommendations for non-touristy things to eat, see, and do.
We're planning on mostly riding bikes around South Beach, but we can rent a car for the day for anything cool outside of that area.
We're already planning on getting take out of Joe's Stone Crabs and eating it in the park and have made dinner reservations at Bazaar and Yardbird thus far.
Yes, LOVE Pizza Rustica on Lincoln Road--delicious! And if you make it to the Design District, Michael's Genuine Food & Drink is top-notch but affordable. I'm pretty far south, so I can't give too many recommendations for the beach area, but those are two that have never let me down.
I used to work in event planning several years ago and knew all the latest/hottest places in SoBe, but unfortunately I'm up there so infrequently that I don't even remember most of them, and even if I did, I have no idea if they would still be there!
