    Default Favorite comedies [movie version]

Let's lighten up this holiday. What are your favorite comedies? I have 4 in no particular order,
    1. I wanna hold your hand- no real stars, but it was produced by Stephen Spielberg in the 80's before he was a GIANT name.
    2. 10 If you haven't seen it you must. But it is R rated for a reason!
    3. The Blues Brothers. Funniest movie ever. When Aretha says 4 whole fried chickens and a coke, it is just too much.
4 The Gods must be crazy. Great movie. Really silly. Not rated R I don't think. Ever seen a rhino put out a fire?

LOL, come on...10 is rated R because, well, back then just the notion of canoeing was R worthy...even if you could not see it.

    Arthur. The original one
Arthur on the Rocks to a lesser extend
    Blazing Saddles

Spies like us, I think (Chevy Chase and Dan Akroid )

    The Vacation series.

YES! To both, but Spinal Tap in particular. One of my all time favorite movies.

I have a long list of favorite comedies (the above two included...Spinal Tap is way at the top, though). Some that come to mind: So, I Married an Axe Murderer, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, A Christmas Story, and the list could go on and on.

For obscurity, also Brain Candy (the Kids in the Hall movie).

I recently watched an old movie called "A Majority of One". There were some really funny lines. If you see it on tv, give it a glimpse.

Not subtle or sophisticated humor, but I like Airplane and the Austin Powers movies.

    Airplane:

Anything by Mel Brooks (except, maybe, "Spaceballs").

Cat Ballou & Barbarella (these are the only two Hanoi Jane flicks I'll watch)

    Two Mules for Sister Sarah

    A Fist Full of Dynamite

    The Naked Gun Trilogy

    Airplane I & II

    Hot Shots Part I

Conan the Barbarian (Arnold could have been one of the greatest comics EVER)

Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy (the books are even better)

    Mclintock

    Odd numbered Police Academy movies

    G.
Mangalarga Marchador: Uma Raça, Uma Paixão
