Saw it last night---it was okay but waaay too long. Javier Bardem steals the show as only he can. It's worth seeing just to watch him

LOVED it!!! It was long but I want to see it again. There were some interesting hints to the childhood of James Bond, wonder if we will ever learn more about it.

I'm not gonna lie. I'm not a huge Bond fan to start with and this one was a snooze fest for me til towards the end. By the time the FIRST credits rolled I was all "oh cool! that was IT?!?!?"

No....lots more blah blah to go.

I truly did almost fall asleep .

The end was good.

Most of the people I was with were Bond fans and liked it a lot but even they thought it was long.

It just wasn't for me. I would never watch one on my own to begin with though.

Sorry. I just felt like that was a waste of money and a lot of time. It was LONG.

I am a huge Bond fan and I loved it. I think you are either a fan or you aren't, similar to other serial films (Twilight, Harry Potter, etc). It didn't seem overly long to me, but any time I can see Daniel Craig uninterupted I'm happy.

I liked it - a lot less reliance on fancy "toys" from Q, and the "bond girls" were not as much of the movie this time. They were there, but it was more story about Bond and what he has to do than about Bond and which girl he's doing in this scene.

I thought it was really, really well written and a great movie. I loved how the "real" bond girl in this movie was Judi Dench...the others were just fillers. It was also neat how they re-established some of the old Bond stuff regarding "M" and Moneypenny. I was never a big Bond fan until Daniel Craig took over, and while I know some people think he's too serious in the role, I enjoy him quite a bit. Contrary to what some critics said, I felt like there was some great humor in this movie. Oh, and what I also found to be cool was that I love the song by Adele, but now that I've seen the movie, it makes WAY more sense when I listen to the lyrics!

I saw it. I liked it a lot. Of course, I like pretty much anything associated with Daniel Craig a lot! He is totaly my favorite Bond.
There were times during the movie that references to his being old made me uncomfortable/unhappy. It worked out okay in the end and I'm ready for the next one!

I am a lukewarm, take it or leave it Bond fan. My husband is just this side of rabid. Because of him I have rolled my eyes and quietly bit my tongue through more vapid 007 moments (mostly courtesy of Roger Moore) than I can possibly count.

But I loved Skyfall. Really. Go figure.

Granted, we saw it at an IMAX theater, which added a lot to the action and intensity. But I never looked at my watch once. For me, that's unheard of. Even if you're not a Bond fan, I think it's a great action flick.

Having said all that, my boss is every bit the Bond fan my husband is, and he didn't really like the movie only because he didn't like the aging agent angle. I think it may have bit a little too close to home though...

Not a Bond fan at all. In fact, Skyfall is the first Bond movie I have ever willingly watched. Loved it. Would definitely see it again.

I loved it. Was secretly hoping Sean Connery would make a cameo appearance. That would have taken it over the edge..:swoon:

I think they are trying to take Bond in a direction that is relevant today. When I think of "A View To A Kill," I want to gag. I'm so glad they moved away from that and took Bond back to being a stone cold killer with a layer of polish. That's who he needs to be if he wants to keep kicking @$$ for the next 20 years.

I'd seen bits and pieces of different Bond movies before and disliked them. However, when I saw the preview for Skyfall, it looked so cool and interesting, I decided to see it when it came out. Never thought I'd go to a 007 film voluntarily....and I loved it! There was some very good acting, a plot, humor, and Daniel Craig looking gooooooood.

Might even go see it again!

I haven't seen it yet, but I might. I have mixed feelings about seeing movies where stuntmen end up getting killed. I don't think that happened in Skyfall, but it has happened in past Bond movies. Really, no movie is worth the loss of someone's life, even when the movies are known for the spectacular action sequences.

Regarding Bond getting older, I read an article somewhere about a fan theory that James Bond was not really the character, but the code name for the top spy of the moment. So it would make more sense that the name is passed along from one spy to another over the years. That actually makes quite a bit of sense.

I'm a Bond fan, but more importantly a Daniel Craig fan. I couldn't wait to see Skyfall. I thought it was hit or miss. I found it super interesting right through the casino scene. I lost interest when Javier Bardem's character arrived. I didn't find him believable, and what was with the blonde hair? The end was spectacular. I too thought the movie was too long.

Casino Royale is still one of my favorites, but I definitely think this was a good one. I liked getting some of Bond's backstory. I also liked the fact there wasn't a focus on the girls-that's never what I really liked about Bond anyway.

And speaking of Bond...holy Daniel Craig. I don't normally like blond guys (I'm the tall dark and handsome type) but he wears those suits so. Well. If only all men looked like that in perfectly tailored suit, this world would be a happier place. Oh and the eyes! So BLUE. I heard he's only signed up for two more movies after this. Sigh.

Oh and I loved the new Q.

I think Daniel Craig's humor is very, very subtle, so if you're not good about catching subtle humor, than it goes right over your head. It was a great movie. I felt like it was nicely fleshed out and not just lots of cool gadgets girls, and guns.
