I'm going to be in need of a new helmet soon as mine is getting toward replacement age. I saw these on Calevo and am in love with the Crocodile and the Alba... DROOL!

There's nothing that I can find about safety certifications, though presumably they have different regulations in Europe? I've never seen Casco in the U.S. and couldn't find any info so far in my Google searching. I'm planning to stick to my traditional velvet helmet or my top hat in the show ring but does anyone know if these would they be legal for warm-up/schooling days? Also, any experiences with them? Are they as pretty in person as they look in the pics?

AP and I looked at them a lot at the BuCha. They are Euro certified but not ASTM.

They are nice - very pricey. The peacock one is a bit over the top but saw several riders wearing them.

All I can say is they're the most comfortable helmets I ever wore (including GPA). If you have a traditional velvet helmet, once you put a Casco on you won't trade it for anything!

If it is not ASTM then that means no one in the US or Canada can't used them at shows?

ETA: Someone I know wore one at her last national show.

Looks like the Spirit is ASTM certified.

I have one! Not to make anyone jealous or anything But, I'm not really in need of it, I prefer the look of my Hampton. Considering putting it on eBay but with all the recent horror stories I've heard about sellers being scammed, not sure I'll go that route!

I have a Casco... And today I was very thankful for it... I went down pretty hard and I really felt how the helmet protected my head!!!!

Hey there people with Casco helmets can you tell me if they would fit a round head. I have an old style GPA textium that fit me but it's getting old. The new ones (GPA,CO,Samshield) are way too oval so I'm hopeful that this brand might work. I'm looking at this one: http://www.calevo.com/cgi-bin/calevo/2100227.html
It comes in S,M,L so I assume that the interior is adjustable to fit a range of sizes? Your advice needed.

I don't know for the US, but in Canada the equine Canada rules states that the helmet must be ASTM/SEI or BSI/BS EN1384, I’m sure the US rule is similar since Canada pretty much follow the US rules. The Casco helmets are EN1384 certify so they should be accepted on the show ground even do they are not ASTM/SEI certify. There is also a distributor in the US that sell ASTM/SEI Casco helmet, they have a different model call for example Spirit US. http://www.pillasport.com/
I bought a Casco Spirit Dressage helmet black and gold from Calevo. It is very comfortable and it looks amazing. It came with 4 small pads that you can add inside to change the shape of it. My head is oval and I did not need them, but I guess you could add the pad front and back to make the shape rounder.

USEF rules state that helmets must carry the SEI tag. Section 120.5

On the SEI site only the "Casco Spirit US" is SEI certified.
