The thumbs up/down icons
Could you change the green thumbs up to the OUTSIDE and re thumbs down to the INSIDE? I know I have accidently hit the 'bad/thumbs down' icon accidently and others have told me that happened to them as well.

According to the following post by Mod 1 on another thread, the thumbs down icon (hopefully) may be gone soon. If it doesn't go away, it should at least be adjusted so it's possible to change your rating, in case you hit the wrong icon. Or change your mind.

No ruckus is required. As we commented before, the thumbs down was instituted as a trial, which means we'd try it out and see how people liked it.
It seems that the feedback on the thumbs down is fairly universally negative, though we'll probably conduct an official poll to give folks the opportunity to weigh in after they've had a chance to see how it works in "real life."
We'll be addressing thumbs and other questions after the development team works their way through the list of remaining glitches to fix since the first priority is to get everything working properly (search is fixed, but needs a small tweak; email notification still aren't going out; thread views wonky, etc.)
Thanks for taking your time to provide your input here. We're going to close this thread so folks are more likely to see this post/explanation, and we'll post a poll on a new thread later if necessary.

I love the thumbs idea, including the thumbs down.
Perhaps tone down the colors .... make the green a bit less neon!! And the red a bit more barn reddish

I think the thumbs up/down should only be used if you can see who gave the up or down. That would keep people in line, I think.

When are the thumbs going away? Isn't there enough judging and criticizing on COTH already?
