I made this suggestion on the original thread, but I thought I'd give it a little extra publicity.

The shelter that I work with, Lollypop Farm in Rochester, NY, uses Kuranda beds for both their cats and dogs. They like them because they are comfortable for the animals, keep them off of the floor and they are very easy to clean. They put out a specific request, a while back, for people to donate more.

If you don't have bedding to donate, or you want to make a donation to your local shelter, check with that shelter, and see if they could use these beds, also. The company gives those who donate a generous 28% discount. They then ship the beds directly to the shelter. It's a great way to know that you have increased the comfort and well-being of those animals still waiting in shelters for people of their own.
