Default This year, I am so thankful for my cat - and I know I'm not alone

I'm thankful that what I thought was the end is not the end (just a bladder infection).

I'm thankful that when he's feeling bad with these things, he never, ever stops using his litter box (he has totally spoiled me for other cats - he's such a GOOD kitty!).

I'm thankful that he loves to snuggle still and "talk" to me.

I'm thankful that we might get one more Christmas together.

I'm thankful that he's been my furry friend for 19+ years and still getting along pretty darn well!

That's great! I had one that lived to almost 20 and one that lived to almost 21. I'm thankful for all of mine, too. This time last year I was reaching the end of the road with my beloved Simon, who had PKD.
What's wrong with you?? Your cheese done slid off its cracker?!?!

Last night as my husband and I and both cats were lying in bed watching TV in a big ole cuddle puddle, I looked at him and asked:

"did you ever think you would have a daughter who's a cat and that you would be so relieved that she is feeling good and shoving you off the bed?"

This year, my cat is thankful for me and I'm really enjoying her.

Smart, loyal old lady cat has put up with sub-standard living conditions for several years before I rented a place that was optimal for her. Not that I didn't try before, but I didn't realize how much they were not working until I saw her Spread Her Wings in this place. Cat likes the back porch, the covered front porch, the close-by trees around for claw sharpening, no other cats in the immediate vicinity so that she can feel safe while out in nature.

Nothing better than pleasing a cat!
