Nope.
I noticed and think it's a great way to say "me, too" without cluttering up a thread with non-substantial posts.

I don't use them and really don't care what others think of my posts. Don't need the validation.

I just skewed your numbers.
I like to use it when I agree and appreciate a response. When I have nothing nice to say, I say nothing.

I am not seeing it be used as a popularity contest..
Some people's posts are controversial, which is expressed in the like/dislikes.
I honestly don't care what people think of my posts.

I guess the "dislike" means I don't agree with your post. I finally went in and checked what all the "notifications" were, and found a bunch of likes and one dislike for my post on Western Dressage. I don't think it meant the person didn't like me, it meant they didn't like Western Dressage Or maybe they don't like me AND Western Dressage

I don't send a faceless thumb to do a (wo)man's work.
If I disagree and have a strong enough or detailed enough opinion, I'll write that bad boy out.

I keep getting "bad" notifications and yet they all lead to the same post back in July and there's still only 1 person who has clicked on that post. I'm thinking "glitch".
If there were actual people not liking what I said the tally would be increasing.
I wear my "bads" as a badge of courage...I'm usually not controversial. This makes me somewhat notorious!

I wish they would get rid of them, or at least the notifications. I see no purpose. At least we should be able to turn it off so we don't have to look at notifications.

I love the thumb buttons. I don't say a whole lot on this forum, mainly because I don't want to take the time to type a response and my dressage knowledge is not of the level to be helpful to anyone. I use the thumbs to say "agree" or "disagree" or even just "yay!" not "you're an awesome person" or "you suck". That said, I randomly thumbed the posts in this thread.
