Question Decent Body Clippers under $100 - Do they exist?

I need to do a modified trace clip on HB (hairy beast) but I am on a budget. These would be clippers I would use 2-3 times a year for no more than a trace clip during the winter.

Any suggestions? Or should I buck up and pay more? Would buying used be an option? And if so, where to look?

    Thanks!

Under $100? I don't know. But I really like my Andis Super 2 speeds and they were only $150 which isn't too far over your budget. Maybe take advantage of the Black Friday online sales and buy a pair?

When doing a full body clip I always use a Clipmaster or similiar large clipper. Would never do it any other way. http://www.valleyvet.com/ct_product_...4-7B6A2C162BFB The Andis Progress HP is actually my favorite.

For doing just a trace clip you could get by with any type of clippers that uses the A5 blades http://www.valleyvet.com/ct_product_...2-F4FE945B7F7A I would recommend the Oster Golden A5 or Andis Super 2 Speed.

Then if you get an A5 type clippers get these blades to save time http://www.valleyvet.com/ct_detail.h...7-f12187dde3a2

Anything that takes the A5 *can* do the job but it's no match for big clippers. Lister Stars are my favorite, though outside your price range. You can find the Oster or Andis A5 type on eBay for $100ish.

My (~8yr old) wahl stable pros do a decent job of smaller clips, I have to stop to let them cool as they will heat up after a while. They were around $80 when I bought them, IIRC.
They *clip* fine for a bigger job, but I just can't do it all at once as they get too hot. I'm going to be clipping more now, so I am upgrading my clippers &I using these for trimming/backup.

I got my super 2 speeds used on eBay for $50 bucks. They have clipped a hairy draft cross several times now.
