CRYPTORCHID. Means he's not dropped. Sounds like he's actually a MONORCHID, which means one testicle has dropped and the other has not.

Well "crimped orchid' should really be cryptorchid. It's when one or both testicles fail to descend. In reality he almost definitely have two testicles, but only one is descended. The procedure to geld would have to involve surgically removing the undescended testicle and is quite expensive. No clue what they mean by tilted head... More than likely it's some sort of physiological problem. Poor horse - presumably backyard bred by and now stuck with a bunch of idiots. In the second picture the poor thing looks like a freakin cow.

Crimped Orchid, What they mean is cryptorchid which is a horse that has only one testicle descended. They are very expensive to geld since the vet has to do abdominal surgery to remove the undescended testicle. My gelding, Sam, was a cryptorchid. It cost almost $800 to have him gelded counting his shots, oral antibiotics and stitches removal. A normal gelding costs around $125. I don't about the tilted head, neck injury?

"Hi, I saw your ad on Craigslist and just wanted to pass along that the correct term for retained testicles is "Cryptorchid" and more correct, if he only has one testicle and the other has been removed, the term would be "Monorchid." These horses require surgery for the removal of that testicle, and it's rather expensive surgery.

But I am curious...what exactly is a "tilted head"? "

I'll let ya'll know what their definition of a tilted head is if I hear back from her.

Ok second person to correct my spelling I know how to spell it my phone has spell check and I am aware how expensive it is. Second the tilted head is probably a pinched nerve I found out he ran into the side of a barn as a foal. Obviously I would not be selling him for a measily 200 bucks if there wasn't something wrong with him. I responded to her and said there was no need to be nasty, I was just trying to help And that either way, if he only has 1 left, its Monorchid.

She replied:
I can only feel 1 so honestly I'm not sure he is apparently 4 and don't know much about his background. He is sweet enough I just can't use an unregistered stud. And I dont really have the money to held him and I was not planning to because be his owner honestly I just want my investment back. I have 9 other horses and had planned my hay around 9 not the extra mouth to feed.

Someone please save this guy!
